ProTech PN1103 Avalon

The ProTech PN1103 Avalon is a collaboration with Peace Neighbor, a design-focused company founded by actor Shawn Ashmore. Peace Neighbor is known for its emphasis on intentional, human centered design, bringing a thoughtful balance of form, function, and everyday usability to the products it helps create. The ProTech Avalon manual opening button lock knife blends clean design with modern materials for a refined everyday carry experience. The handles are knurled 6061 T-6 aluminum and offers a secure grip without adding unnecessary weight. Blasted finish thumb stud, hardware and a black finish deep carry pocket clip finish the handle design. The drop point style blade is CPM-Magnacut steel with a DLC black finish.

CPM-MAGNACUT Steel: CPM-Magnacut is a unique powder metallurgy stainless tool steel with a design which eliminates chromium carbide in the heat treated microstructure. An excellent combination of toughness and
wear resistance is achieved by having only small, high hardness, vanadium and niobium carbides, giving CPM Magnacut properties similar to non-stainless steel CPM 4V. Being free from chromium carbide also leads to improved corrosion resistance. This product offers an excellent combination of properties for knives.
