ProTech 951 Godfather-Tuxedo

The ProTech 951 Godfather-Tuxedo incorporates a spear point type blade made from 154CM steel with a satin finish (plain edge). The handle is machined from solid black T6-6061 aluminum with Ivory Micarta inlays, satin finish hardware, and a black finish stainless steel deep carry pocket clip. The Protech’s Godfather models have the influence of an original Italian “Stilletto” style auto knife with ProTech’s modern coil spring precision, and ProTech’s signature spear point style blade. The build, fit and finish of the Godfather is exceptional, something that is true of all ProTech knives.

154CM Steel: 154CM steel is one of “better” steel varieties made for cutlery and other knife blades. It’s not a powder steel (CPM154 would be the powder version), but it’s a commonly used steel for a higher grade knife. It has an exceptionally good balance between three enviable attributes which are toughness, hardness and corrosion-resistance.
