The ProTech 5305-BLUE Malibu Flipper incorporates a ball bearing pivot design which allows the blade to open silky smooth and fast…… the flipping action on the Malibu is outstanding! The blade locks up with the plunge lock (Button Lock). The handles are solid aluminum with a textured Blue finish and blasted hardware. The Wharncliffe style blade is CPM-Magnacut steel with a stonewash finish that will easily handle all of your EDC tasks. Incorporates a black finish deep carry pocket clip. The ProTech Malibu is a fashionable flipper knife with every bit of precision you’ve come to expect from ProTech. It flies open with the flipper action, with no springs, so it’s legal in many places.

CPM-MAGNACUT Steel: CPM-MagnaCut is a unique powder metallurgy stainless tool steel with a design which eliminates chromium carbide in the heat treated microstructure. An excellent combination of toughness and
wear resistance is achieved by having only small, high hardness, vanadium and niobium carbides, giving CPM MagnaCut properties similar to non-stainless steel CPM 4V. Being free from chromium carbide also leads to improved corrosion resistance. This product offers an excellent combination of properties for knives.
