Microtech 227-3T Tactical Dirac Delta

The Microtech 227-3T Tactical Dirac Delta is patterned after the Dirac model, Microtech’s first OTF model with the firing slide/button on the face of the handle instead of the spine of the handle. The Dirac Delta holds the same ergonomic chassis, innovative internal mechanism, and glass breaker, but in a more robust size with an overall length of 9.4 inches. The 3.75″ double edge dagger blade (one edge that is plain (no serrations), and the the other edge is fully serrated) is Bohler M390 or Carpenter CTS-204P steel with a black finish. The contoured handle is black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum with machined traction grooves for a secure grip, and incorporates a glass breaker at the end of the handle. This is a Microtech Tactical model with black finish hardware, firing button, and glass breaker. The Dirac Delta is fully ambidextrous, perfect for right or left-handed users. A hard hitting double action OTF, the Dirac Delta is meant for everyday carry.

Bohler M390 Steel: Bohler M390 stainless steel is one of the recent wave of “super steels” heralded by knife makers all over the world. It has characteristics of high hardness and excellent corrosion resistance. This means you’re going to get a very fine edge that retains it sharpness even through hard use, with little to no patina. Introduced and manufactured by Bohler-Uddeholm, M390 is a powdered steel. Bohler’s specifications claim a Rockwell hardness of 60 – 62HRC, putting it in the higher echelon of stainless knife steels. M390 is called a “micro clean” steel and takes a mirror finish very well.

Carpenter CTS-204P Steel: CTS-204P is made by the USA-based Carpenter Technology Corporation. The unique combination of wear resistance, toughness, polish ability and corrosion resistance makes CTS 204P an excellent choice for knife blades. CTS-204P fine grained alloy is a popular choice for high end folders and small fixed blades with a working hardness up to 62HRC. It exhibits excellent performance with both, coarse and high polished edges.
