Microtech 206-12S Makora D/E

The Microtech 206-12S Makora D/E evolved from the famous Microtech Ultratech design. It has been field-tested and proven over several years. The Microtech Makora is a Signature Series model. The handle is 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum with a black anodized finish. Also, the handle incorporates black traction inlays for better grip. The double edge dagger blade is Bohler M390 or Carpenter CTS-204P with a stonewash finish. The lower edge is plain (no serrations) and the upper edge is fully serrated. Features Nickle Boron internals. The hardware, glass breaker, and titanium pocket clip have a satin finish.

Bohler M390 Steel: Bohler M390 stainless steel is one of the recent wave of “super steels” heralded by knife makers all over the world. It has characteristics of high hardness and excellent corrosion resistance. This means you’re going to get a very fine edge that retains it sharpness even through hard use, with little to no patina. Introduced and manufactured by Bohler-Uddeholm, M390 is a powdered steel. Bohler’s specifications claim a Rockwell hardness of 60 – 62HRC, putting it in the higher echelon of stainless knife steels. M390 is called a “micro clean” steel and takes a mirror finish very well.

Carpenter CTS-204P Steel: CTS-204P is made by the USA-based Carpenter Technology Corporation. The unique combination of wear resistance, toughness, polishability and corrosion resistance makes CTS 204P an excellent choice for knife blades. CTS-204P fine grained alloy is a popular choice for high end folders and small fixed blades with a working hardness up to 62HRC. It exhibts excellent performance with both, coarse and high polished edges.
