Microtech 143-1T Combat Troodon – Tactical – Microtech’s second largest double action out the front production knife and is named after the Troodon dinosaur. The Combat Troodon is the large version of the popular Troodon. The Microtech 143-1T Combat Troodon has a black finished Bohler M390 or Carpenter CTS-204P steel single edge (drop point) blade with a plain edge. The handle is Black anodized 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum with a black finished steel glass breaker, pocket clip, and hardware. This is one of Microtech’s largest D/A OTF knives, and is a favorite among law enforcement, military and first responder personnel. The substantial feel makes it suitable for hard-use, while the benefits of an automatic OTF make it a great choice for everyday carry……….it’s big and bad!

Bohler M390 Steel: Bohler M390 stainless steel is one of the recent wave of “super steels” heralded by knife makers all over the world. It has characteristics of high hardness and excellent corrosion resistance. This means you’re going to get a very fine edge that retains it sharpness even through hard use, with little to no patina. Introduced and manufactured by Bohler-Uddeholm, M390 is a powdered steel. Bohler’s specifications claim a Rockwell hardness of 60 – 62HRC, putting it in the higher echelon of stainless knife steels. M390 is called a “micro clean” steel and takes a mirror finish very well.

Carpenter CTS-204P Steel: CTS-204P is made by the USA-based Carpenter Technology Corporation. The unique combination of wear resistance, toughness, polishability and corrosion resistance makes CTS 204P an excellent choice for knife blades. CTS-204P fine grained alloy is a popular choice for high end folders and small fixed blades with a working hardness up to 62HRC. It exhibts excellent performance with both, coarse and high polished edges.
