Microtech 142-3T Tactical Combat Troodon

The Microtech 142-3T Tactical Combat Troodon out the front automatic knife is a really large version of the popular Troodon model, and is Microtech’s largest double action out-the-front (OTF). It is named after the Troodon dinosaur.  This Combat Troodon features a black finish Bohler M390 or Carpenter CTS-204P steel double edge dagger blade with the bottom edge having a plain edge (no serrations), and the top edge being fully serrated. This Combat Troodon is a tactical model that features a black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle, black finish pocket clip, glass breaker, and hardware. Note: Pictures show an Elmax steel blade. Current models have Bohler M390 or Carpenter CTS-204P Steel blades.

Carpenter CTS-204P Steel: CTS-204P is made by the USA-based Carpenter Technology Corporation. The unique combination of wear resistance, toughness, polish ability and corrosion resistance makes CTS 204P an excellent choice for knife blades. CTS-204P fine grained alloy is a popular choice for high end folders and small fixed blades with a working hardness up to 62HRC. It exhibits excellent performance with both, coarse and high polished edges.
