Microtech 123-15-Bronze Blade Ultratech

The Microtech 123-15-Bronze Blade Ultratech  features a tanto blade that is fully serrated. The Bronze finished blade is Carpenter CTS-204P or Bohler m390 steel. This Ultratech features a black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle, bronze finish pocket clip, glass breaker, and hardware that matches the blade finish. Note: This is Microtech’s newest Ultratech model that features the “Contoured Chassis”, and the improved, more user-friendly glass breaker.

Bohler M390 Steel: Bohler M390 stainless steel is one of the recent wave of “super steels” heralded by knife makers all over the world. It has characteristics of high hardness and excellent corrosion resistance. This means you’re going to get a very fine edge that retains it sharpness even through hard use, with little to no patina. Introduced and manufactured by Bohler-Uddeholm, M390 is a powdered steel. Bohler’s specifications claim a Rockwell hardness of 60 – 62HRC, putting it in the higher echelon of stainless knife steels. M390 is called a “micro clean” steel and takes a mirror finish very well.

Carpenter CTS-204P Steel: CTS-204P is made by the USA-based Carpenter Technology Corporation. The unique combination of wear resistance, toughness, polish ability and corrosion resistance makes CTS 204P an excellent choice for knife blades. CTS-204P fine grained alloy is a popular choice for high end folders and small fixed blades with a working hardness up to 62HRC. It exhibits excellent performance with both, coarse and high polished edges.
