The Microtech 122-1OD Ultratech features a double edge dagger blade with both the upper and the bottom edge having a standard (non-serrated) edge. The Black finish blade is Carpenter CTS-204P or Bohler M390 steel. The OD green anodized contoured 6061-T6 aluminum handle features a black finish pocket clip, glass breaker, and hardware. Note: Features the improved, more user-friendly glass breaker. The Ultratech model is the flagship model for Microtech OTF knives, and sets the standard for OTF technology. Microtech’s proprietary design allows the firing spring to be at rest in both the open and closed positions, drastically reducing wear on the internal firing mechanism.
Carpenter CTS-204P Steel: CTS-204P is made by the USA-based Carpenter Technology Corporation. The unique combination of wear resistance, toughness, polishability and corrosion resistance makes CTS 204P an excellent choice for knife blades. CTS-204P fine grained alloy is a popular choice for high end folders and small fixed blades with a working hardness up to 62HRC. It exhibits excellent performance with both, coarse and high polished edges.
Bohler M390 Steel: Bohler M390 is widely revered as being one of the best all-around knife steels, which has led top companies, and makers to widely utilize it in higher end knives. M390 exhibits excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and high level toughness.
