Microtech 11224-3T Ultratech Gen IV

The Microtech 11224-1T Ultratech Gen IV handle is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum (black anodized finish), secured with Torx screws, and equipped with an upgraded glass breaker. The double edge dagger type blade is Bohler M390MK steel with a black finish. Note: One edge is plain and the other edge is fully serrated.

The new Ultratech Gen IV models incorporate Microtech’s Dual Fuel Drive Train, a re-engineered internal system designed to provide smoother, more reliable, and easier blade deployment and retraction. The Gen IV models also introduces Microtech’s Crud Kutter, a proprietary self-cleaning mechanism that helps channel debris away from the internal action. This significantly reduces buildup from lint, dirt, or grime. Rounding out the Gen IV upgrades is a redesigned glass breaker, offering improved grip and breaking force while maintaining low-profile ergonomics.

Bohler M390MK Steel: Bohler M390MK is an exclusive steel to Microtech Knives through Bohler. Microtech worked closely with the engineers at Bohler to tweak the properties of M390 for better edge retention, corrosion resistance, and polishing. It has a more controlled and higher carbon content which lends itself to more consistent heat treat and a few other advantages. It’s still M390, with tweaked carbon content modifications.
