The Medford Custom Marauder-H, with its clean lines and robust design, follows the premise of less is more. It features an appealing, flowing aesthetic with a versatile blade with index finger choil and ergonomic handle shape. Note the curved fuller-blood groove that doubles to not only lighten the forward weight of the design but also as a sneaky thumb-slide groove for opening the blade. The titanium frames are 0.187″ thick and the blade is 0.190″ thick CPM-S35VN stainless steel. This design gets its name from the A-26 Marauder of WWII repute – known for awesome fire-power and brute force toughness in battle. A great moniker for such a well built tactical folder.
This custom Marauder-H has a faced flamed bronze finished titanium handle, and a bronze anodized spring (framelock) side. The tanto style blade is CPM-S35VN steel with a tumbled finish. Incorporates Medford’s standard hardware (stainless steel), NP3 breaker, and has a Ti flamed finish pocket clip.
CPM-S35VN Steel: CPM S35VN is a quality stainless steel from Crucible Industries. Despite the high level of toughness in this steel, which usually diminishes a steel’s wear resistance, this steel does not lose out on a superior resistance to wear and chipping. Combined with carbon, the niobium carbides make the steel more effective in providing resistance to wear and edge chipping than if it were more dependent on chromium, which is the case with many other steels. The resulting edge holding ability of this steel is remarkable, ensuring S35VN steel to be a long lasting one.
