Hinderer XM-18 3.5 Bowie Battle Black-Coyote G-10

The Hinderer XM-18 3.5 Bowie Battle Black-Coyote G-10 is the combination of over 25 years of old world knife making craftsmanship combined with modern 3D design and CNC technology. The result is a folder that performs like a fixed blade and has become one of the benchmarks in the hard use folder category. This XM-18 has a 3.5″ Bowie blade (CPM-Magnacut Steel) with a DLC Black Finish. The front handle is textured Coyote G-10 that provides a dependable grip. The titanium framelock side features the patented Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer (LBS) which prevents over torquing of the lockbar which can happen under stress. The titanium framelock side has a Hinderer’s Battle Black finish.

CPM-MAGNACUT Steel: CPM-Magnacut is a unique powder metallurgy stainless tool steel with a design which eliminates chromium carbide in the heat treated microstructure. An excellent combination of toughness and
wear resistance is achieved by having only small, high hardness, vanadium and niobium carbides, giving CPM Magnacut properties similar to non-stainless steel CPM 4V. Being free from chromium carbide also leads to improved corrosion resistance. This product offers an excellent combination of properties for knives.

This is a Gen 6 model with Hinderer’s new Tri-Way pivot system which allows you to configure your XM-18 further than ever before! The system lets the end-user configure their knife’s pivot system to their own personal preference, with choice of bearing, teflon washers or bronze phosphor washers. Simply disassemble the knife, and install whichever option suits your needs!
