Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 31-Natural Canvas Micarta

The Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 31-Natural Canvas Micarta design is based on Chris Reeve’s famous Sebenza 21 model with some awesome improvements. It’s built with even tighter tolerances than we’ve come to expect of Chris Reeve Knives, so you know that every single knife will be perfect. There is no longer a hole in the presentation scale. That’s because the hole was needed to hold the scale in the same position every time, but advances in manufacturing technology made the hole unnecessary. Instead of a hardened titanium lockbar, the Sebenza 31 has a ceramic ball insert, which will last longer and means an even smoother action. An adjustment to the pocket clip was made so it doesn’t rest on the lockbar, and a few tweaks to improve ergonomics finish off the updated Sebenza.

The CRK Small Sebenza 31 model is built with a blasted titanium handle that incorporates a lanyard hole with the lanyard that you have been accustom to with the Sebenza 21 models. This small Sebenza 31  features natural canvas micarta inlays on both sides of the handle. The inlays give a contoured feel to the handle, and are as attractive as they are functional.

The drop point style blade is CPM-S35VN steel with a stonewash finish.

CPM-S35VN Steel: CPM S35VN is a quality stainless steel from Crucible Industries. Despite the high level of toughness in this steel, which usually diminishes a steel’s wear resistance, this steel does not lose out on a superior resistance to wear and chipping. Combined with carbon, the niobium carbides make the steel more effective in providing resistance to wear and edge chipping than if it were more dependent on chromium, which is the case with many other steels. The resulting edge holding ability of this steel is remarkable, ensuring S35VN steel to be a long lasting one
