The Benchmade 710FE-24 Seven | Ten is a collaboration with Bill McHenry and Jason Williams, renowned custom knifemakers with watchmaking roots, who consider their work “art with an edge on it.” McHenry and Williams are also responsible for creating Benchmade’s game-changing AXIS® lock technology on the very first 710 back in 1999. Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of AXIS® lock tech, the 710FE-24 has that same large frame and ample cutting power as the original — but elevated. Featuring a stylish, drop-point, recurve blade made of CPM- S90V steel with a FDE PVD finish. The Benchmade 710FE-24 has a stunningly lightweight 6061-T6 Aluminum handle with gray anodized finish, milled FDE PVD standoffs, pocket clip and pivot ring, and satin thumb stud, and AXIS® lock. An anniversary variant, inspired by its original designers, McHenry and Williams.

CPM-S90V Steel: CPM-S90V steel is well known for its wear-resistance. According to Crucible, S90V is used in plastic feed screws, valve components, nozzles, slitters, cutters, gear pumps, pelletizing equipment, bearings, and other hard use parts. In the knifemaking world, S90V is legendary for its near perfect edge-retention. It is close to impossible to dull a blade made of CPM S90V. That being said, you need the patience of a saint to sharpen it, however infrequent that may be. S90V is in the upper echelon of knifemaking “super steels”, as is evident by the hefty price tag that accompanies the knives to which it adorns.
