ADV Tactical Alpha-S Bronze – Frag Black G-10 Inlays

The ADV Tactical Alpha-S Bronze – Frag Black G-10 Inlays  is the third model in the PitBoss series. It uses Andre’s keyway hole design in the blade. The Alpha-S is an impressive hardcore EDC tactical folding knife design from Andre de Villiers with a mid-tech custom build. It offers an excellent feel in hand along with a smooth and precise flipping action. This Alpha-S model features a Bronze Anno finish (with polished edges) titanium handle with Frag Black G-10 Inlays. The locking mechanism is a button lock design with a safety incorporated into the design. The Alpha-S utilizes Andre’s improved/upgraded “roller” bronze anno finish titanium pocket clip. The Ti handle has hardened stainless steel hardware with a bronze anno finish. Incorporates a bronze anno finish Ti backspacer with a lanyard hole. The compound grind Drop Point style blade is CPM-S35VN steel with a satin finish. NOTE: This Alpha-S model comes with Andre’s new Deployment Tab which allows you to “Wave” the knife coming out of your pocket. Deployment Tab can be removed if desired.

NOTE: Alpha-S Models have a compound grind, and no recurve blade. Alpha models have a flat grind with a recurve blade.

CPM-S35VN Steel: CPM S35VN is a quality stainless steel from Crucible Industries. Despite the high level of toughness in this steel, which usually diminishes a steel’s wear resistance, this steel does not lose out on a superior resistance to wear and chipping. Combined with carbon, the niobium carbides make the steel more effective in providing resistance to wear and edge chipping than if it were more dependent on chromium, which is the case with many other steels. The resulting edge holding ability of this steel is remarkable, ensuring S35VN steel to be a long lasting one.
